Lost Falchion Announcement

OK so this is a big announcement for Lost Falchion. It is debuting right now on the Imperial Writers' Guide (here). You can see the Chapters the same day that they have been released in the Podcast. Make sure you go look at them.

Remember they are released under a Creative Commons license that you can see at the bottom of this page. So go ahead print as many copies as you want just make sure that you direct people back to RB's Universe when you show them to people.

I was going through the internet news sites and found a lot of information about the new "Orphan Works" Bill that is going before the US Congress. I do not agree with this work at all and it may cause the Lost Falchion to come down from the Imperial Writers Guide or the Imperial Writers guide to go private so no one can see it unless they are signed in.

BUT: I want to make the licensing for the Imonoran Empire Cast perfectly clear (and this will be featured in the next episode). IEC and all works in it are released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License. So basically you can write anything you want based in the Imonoran Empire AND you can even post the works of this podcast where ever you like as long as you attribute them to Ray B. May IV. i.e. "Based on the Imonoran Empire created By Ray B. May IV" I will even accept "by RB May." Remember that you may NOT use them for commercial gain in any way and you can only release them if you release them under a similar license.

Imperial Writer's Guide

Well the IEC just got together all its ideas and pulled this little jewel out of the bag. With the things that only RB can know the Imperial Writer's Guide will have pages varying on subjects from stylistic help to swearing to techno-babble. If you want it we may even bring up a full comprehensive look at the Imperial Standard language of Kenmor.

The site is meant to be a help to those who want to write stories in this SF world. It will kinda act as the comprehensive guide to people and feel like a book you would read if you were going to visit the Empire.

It is also planned to contain on it all the stories written in the Imonoran Empire. Those from Empire Vols. 1 & 2. The Novel Lost Falchion (as of yet we are not sure whether Forced War will be posted here) and others. Anything you write based in the Imonoran Empire can be posted there as well.

IEC Episode 108 and News

Well episode 108 has been released and the 2nd part of chapter 2 is not in it. Instead episode 1 and 2 of Star Trek: Interpreter have been released in this episode. My, RB's, birthday is on coming up on the 14th so we will be having a special episode for that. I have Chris Lester from the Metamor City Podcast lined up to read the 2nd part of chapter 2 that day. Well the 4th episode of IEC is about to start recording and I would just like to reflect on the last year of RB's Universe.

RB's Universe Timeline:

• 1999:
  
  • RB Corp (Ray Ballard Corporation) opens with RBC Store as well as the MSN Group (both are now closed).

• 2000:
  
  • (January) F.S.O. Opens for the first time on private server.
  • (June) 2468 people log onto F.S.O. on June 14, 2000.
• 2001:
  
• (March) F.S.O. Closes due to viruses in the server which cause irreparable damage.
• (June-December) War World and Final Dungeon start production.
  
• 2002:
  
  • (May) War World opens for beta.
  • (July) Final Dungeon opens for beta.
  • (September) War World Beta closes with 800 players (number rounded down to the nearest 100) and the final version launched.
  • (November) Final Dungeon Beta closes with 1400 players and the final version is launched.
• 2003:
  
  • (March) F.S.O. 1 relaunches.
  • (April) F.S.O. 2 beta launches.
  • (September) F.S.O. 2 beta closes and the Final version launches.
• 2004:
  
  • (June) F.S.O. 2.5 Launches (no beta).

    • These contests were to find canon ships and captains and people. Many ships that were entered into this contest (at least the ones that weren't destroyed) were added as canon to the Imonoran Empire.

  • (May) Urkia Project Starts.
  • (May - December) F.S.O. 1, 2 AND 2.5, War World, The Compound, and Final Dungeon, are shut down indefinitely.

  • (May) Empire Project Starts(August) Empire Vol. 1 Finished

  • (November) Forced War written, IEC Episode 000 released.

Date Correction

It has come to my attention that I was looking at the wrong month when I posted the date for the IEC Exclusive Novel which means you're going to have to wait for four (4) more days from the priorly given date of January 24th. That means the novel is actually coming out January 28th.

I am deeply sorry to have given you false informations.
